One of our favorite places to be is in the kitchen. We love to bake and cook and it all stemmed from our mom's passion of cooking. She would find a recipe that she loved, and then make it all year long. We used to say, "That was the year of the cheesecakes" or "That was the year of cinnamon rolls." Some of our fondest memories revolve around cooking together in the kitchen. We love to get together as family and contribute our best recipes for the meal. And we are constantly calling each other saying, "You've got to try this recipe!" We'd like to share our favorite recipes with you. So, happy cooking, happy baking, happy eating, and then happy exercising afterwards to burn those calories!

Hazelnut Hot Cocoa Mix

Our family LOVES hot cocoa (as you can see my daughter in the picture above). And our favorite has become hazelnut hot cocoa. The day the kids go to school wearing long sleeves, I immediately get to the store and buy the ingredients. Nothing goes better with a cold day then a warm cup of hot cocoa! Aside from the yummy hazelnut flavoring of this recipe, the other reason I love it, is because you only have to measure ONE of the ingredients. The rest of the ingredients you just need to make sure you buy the right size packages. So simple and so perfect!

Hazelnut Hot Cocoa Mix

INGREDIENTS:

- 9 oz package nonfat dry milk (powdered milk)

- 16 oz. box powdered sugar (approx. 3 3/4 cups)

- 30 oz. package Nesquik (or generic)

- 11 oz. container nondairy creamer

- 15 oz. container hazelnut flavored nondairy creamer

- 1/2 cup unsweetened baking cocoa

DIRECTIONS: Stir all of the ingredients together in a large (like SUPER large) mixing bowl. (I personally don't have a super large mixing bowl, so I stir mine in this big tupperware thingamajiggy). Store in an airtight container. To make: Mix 1 cup hot water with 1/3 cup hot cocoa mix.
