Strawberry Pretzel Jell-O

I got this recipe on allrecipes.com and have made it for 3 different get togethers in the last 2 weeks. At all 3, EVERYONE has asked me for the recipe! It is so easy and good. It takes about 4 hours to completely finish. There are the 3 steps that each take like 5 minutes. You have to let it cool after each step.

Strawberry Pretzel Jell-O

INGREDIENTS:

- 3 cups crushed pretzels

- 9 Tbsp. white sugar

- 1 1/2 cup melted butter

- 1 cup white sugar

- 2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese

- 1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip, thawed

- 1 (6 oz.) package strawberry flavored Jell-O

- 2 cups boiling water

- 1 (16 oz.) package frozen strawberries

DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together the pretzels, 9 Tbsp. sugar and melted butter. Press into the bottome of a 9x13 inch pan. Bake for 10 minutes, or lightly toasted. Set aside to cool completely.

In a medium bowl, beat the sugar and cream cheese until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread evenly over the cooled crust. Refrigerate until set, about 30 minutes.

In a medium bowl, stir together the gelatin mix and boiling water. Mix in frozen strawberries, and stir until thawed. Pour over cream cheese mixture in pan. Refrigerate until completely chilled, at least 1 hour.
